Select

Using the filter menus at the top of the page you simply search from a number of convenient selection criteria.

1) Decide on your selection by geographical location, application, planting types, position or plant features. Within these main criteria you will then find numerous sub-options for finding the right planting for your project.

2) The number of trees within a selection appears next to the filter in question. Click on 'OK' in the drop-down menu to collapse this again and to open other filter menus.

3) You can tick several filters, which are then applied immediately to the selection shown. A filter can be switched off simply by unticking a filter in ‘Your selection’ (in the black bar above the photos).

You can of course also find specific tree varieties by name via the search box in the top right-hand corner.

Varieties

Varieties

Click on a variety in the list for a detailed description and photos of that variety.

1) In the photo of the variety top right, click on the 'download pdf' button in order to download the full description of the variety.

2) On the photos, click on 'enlarge' on the right of the page in order to enlarge it and to browse through the photograph collection of the variety.  The scroll menu on the left gives a list of all photographs of the variety.

Filters

Because every project and every user is different, within TreeEbb you can search not only by specific varieties but also according to numerous practical filters; from location to geographical position, from characteristic shapes to seasonal colours, and from application to height or width. The tool immediately applies the selected preferences, so that the range offered gets increasingly more specific.

Is planting for bees required? Are you looking for trees for warm locations? Green in winter? Or is planting which can withstand a collision required? You can put together the right collection with a few clicks.

Compare varieties

Compare varieties

Comparing the features and characteristics of a few plant varieties in order to make the right choice? Using the TreeEbb Comparison Tool, you can see the similarities and differences of selected varieties at a glance.

1) In the list of the trees, click on A/B in the photograph of a variety to place that variety in the comparator.
2) You can include a maximum of three varieties in a comparison.
3) Click on A/B Show comparison.
4) The varieties can be viewed clearly next to each other with all data.
5) Do you want to add another variety to the comparison? Remove one of the three varieties and add a new variety via the list.

N.B. If only one variety is ticked for a comparison, then of course a comparison list is no longer available. The variety remains in the list marked by A/B.

Inspiring moodboards

Inspiring moodboards

Putting together an inspiring moodboard of the trees and shrubs in a design in an instant? Selecting and presenting the range for a new park to be laid out? Or giving a clearer picture of a planting recommendation? TreeEbb also includes a practical tool to create moodboards of planting. With this, in the tree encyclopaedia you can put together inspiring project-moodboards for projects and ideas for green planting.

1) Select the desired planting for your project or presentation using the filters; or, of course, simply by name via the search function.
2) Click on the star symbol next to a variety to add that variety to a moodboard.
3) Ready! Open your moodboard via View moodboard.

Designing moodboards

Designing moodboards

In order to design moodboards there are various possibilities for adjusting the collage of selected varieties.

1) Mouseover: Give the photos on a moodboard a new position by simply dragging them and making your own collage.
2) 'Copy this item' icon: A second photo of the variety appears in the moodboard. The photo can be swapped so as to place several photos of one variety on a moodboard. Or make a moodboard for one variety yourself.
3) 'Choose another photo' icon: Would you prefer another photo or a nice detail of the variety? Via a pop-up window, a photo can be selected from the collection or the seasonal colours can be put on the moodboard.
4) ‘View enlarged photos’ icon: Swipe through all photos on a moodboard in an enlarged version.
5) ‘Remove this item' icon: The photo is removed from your moodboard.
6) To add varieties to a moodboard, click on the '< Back to list' button and add additional varieties from the TreeEbb using the asterisk.
7) 'Change moodboard name' button: Give your moodboard a title.
